Museum Collections Policies
The Mission statement of our Collections department is to operate a combined historical Museum and Visitor information facility which promotes the general civic, social, educational, and economic development of Walnut Grove, MN community as follows:
Provide information about the life of author Laura Ingalls Wilder and other pioneer residents of the Walnut Grove, MN area.
Collect, catalog, preserve, display, and interpret relevant historical artifacts.
Educate visitors about the contributions of Laura Ingalls Wilder to literature.
Provide tourist information to visitors.
