“The Wilder Men” of the Walnut Grove Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant

Join us on February 2, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. CT as we celebrate Laura’s Birthday with “The Wilder Men” of the Walnut Grove Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant.

At 3:00 p.m. we will post to Facebook and Twitter a link to YouTube where you can watch the interviews and learn about some of the “Wilder Men” of the Walnut Grove Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant.

There have been so many wonderful men who have graced our production. Some who have passed from us over the years are Oscar Stenberg, who played Mr. Hanson for 11 years with a great “Norwegian” flare, Dean Fujan, who played William Oleson for 10 years (and helped to build the sets), Doug Dahms, who played a very inspiring Reverend Alden for nine years, Ted Anderson, who from 1988 to 2000 had several roles (most notably Mayor Elias Bedal and Reverend Alden), and Richard Davis, who played Mr. Hansen for 16 years.

Then there are all the other “Wilder Men” who have given their summers to this production. Whether you were an actor or behind the scenes we remember your dedication. They all did such wonderful jobs, and we appreciate each and every one of you and how you threw your hearts into the parts you were given. Our hats go off to all the “Wilder Men” of the Walnut Grove Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant.
